About the Event
On September 16, HUP hosted a Mixer to connect County staff and University faculty around the theme: "what does the future of engagement look like for those managing county buildings?"
12,000 people enter Hennepin County buildings every day, ranging from libraries to clinics. Facility Services designs, builds and maintains these structures, ensuring they are functional, safe, and inviting to both the public and County staff. As government becomes more customer-focused, the Facilities Department is looking to become more responsive to its clients’ needs.
This event focused on several key topics:
- Internal/External Client Communication & Engagement
- Human-Centered Design
- Process Evaluation
The event includes a $25,000 grant round for research proposals. Proposals will be submitted by teams of University faculty and County staff. Grant(s) will be awarded in November 2016.
When: Friday, September 16th, 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM
Where: McNamara Center, Swain Room
