PrEP for Substance-Using Women: Needs and Future Directions

Join Hennepin-University Partnership for a webinar with Dr. Melissa Ertl on February 27 at 11:00 a.m. In this webinar, Dr. Ertl will provide an overview of a study that used in-depth interviews to investigate PrEP willingness, barriers, and facilitators among women in outpatient psychosocial substance use treatment, methadone, and/ or harm reduction/syringe programs. Recommendations for best PrEP implementation practices with substance-using women will be discussed.

Dr. Melissa Ertl is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at University of Minnesota.  Her work focuses on preventing health risk behaviors, promoting health equity, and addressing health disparities at the intersections of mental health, substance use, and sexual health.
