As part of its ongoing commitment to connecting academic research with community impact, HUP recently partnered with the Cannabis Research Center to host a timely webinar on cannabis legalization in Minnesota, the current state of research, and broader public health and policy implications. The event convened researchers, practitioners, and community stakeholders to examine emerging evidence and identify areas for continued inquiry.
Dr. Traci Toomey, Director of the Cannabis Research Center at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, reflected on the value of this collaboration:
“Our team at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health Cannabis Research Center (CRC) strives to be a trusted source of information. We believe it is critical to share our research findings with people throughout Minnesota. Participating in this series provided a great opportunity for us to disseminate our research”.
This event exemplifies HUP’s role as a convener, creating pathways for faculty to translate scholarship into meaningful dialogue and real-world impact. We welcome professors interested in advancing applied research, engaging community partners, or sharing their work through public-facing forums to connect with HUP and explore future collaborations.
UMN Faculty are invited to explore new opportunities for research collaboration and public engagement through the Hennepin University Partnership.
